Coconut would become a history in Nigeria says experts

Due to poor agricultural reserve in Nigeria,it has been reported that coconut's would become extinct in recent future. Coconut trees might become extinct in Nigeria, in the next 50 years, a coconut processor, Mr Muheammad Mustafa, has said, cautioning against its use as building materials substitute. Mustafa, Executive Director, Doublem Enterprises Development Centre, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Lagos that using the tree’s trunk as planks and its fronds as roofing sheets was depleting the economic and ornamental tree. He said that if people continued to cut and use it to construct buildings as currently being witnessed in the tree’s zones, its usefulness as an economic resource will run out. “It is wrong to use the tree because that would grossly affect the raw materials sector of the economy. “It is possible that in the next 50 years the coconut tree will go into extinction because of its depletion and that of our forests. “The depletion of the fore...

3 Character Flaws You Can’t Afford to Ignore When Choosing a Man

Are you are dating someone that exhibits any of the character flaws below, I beg you to pump the brakes and really think about whether or not this is the right person for you to spend your life with. 1. Selfishness It doesn’t matter how much you love a selfish person, your love won’t change who that person is. When someone is incapable of putting your needs before his own, you have to move with caution. You can certainly address this behavior with your mate to determine if he acknowledges it and ask if he is ready for change. But if your conversations always result in a lack of acknowledgement, you have to ask yourself if this is the person you want to be with forever. 2. Abusive Behavior Love won’t make someone stop hitting you. Love won’t make someone stop talking down to you. Love won’t make you feel good when someone is dead set on making you feel small. If you notice abusive qualities, walk away. It’s a character flaw you can’t afford to deal with and one you can’t spend...

Charity! Man donates kidney to stranger

Like they say "one good deed deserves another", check out the man who out of love and Charity donated part of his liver to a stranger. When Christopher Dempsey offered to donate half his liver to a complete stranger, he knew it would be a life-changing experience. What the former marine didn't know wasthat he would be saving the life of the woman who would become his wife. But less than two years after Mr Dempsey called Heather Krueger to reveal he was a match, the two were married. The love story began with a conversation overheard in a workplace break room in Frankfort, a village south of Chicago, Illinois. Miss Krueger had stage four liver disease, and had been ill for about two years already when doctors told her she only had a 50% chance of surviving another two months without a transplant. Her family were in a race against time to find her a donor - a hugely difficult task in a country with more than 119,000 people on its transplant waiting lists. That was ...

Wildlife faces extinction

Increase in world population and civilisation had already eaten deep into nature has animals and wildlife faces extinction. Global wildlife populations have fallen by 58% since 1970, a report says. The Living Planet assessment, by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) and WWF, suggests that if the trend continues that decline could reach two-thirds among vertebrates by 2020. The figures suggest that animals living in lakes, rivers and wetlands are suffering the biggest losses. Human activity, including habitat loss, wildlife trade, pollution and climate change, is attributed to the declines. Dr Mike Barrett. head of science and policy at WWF, said: "It's pretty clear under 'business as usual' we will see continued declines in these wildlife populations. But I think now we've reached a point where there isn't really any excuse to let this carry on. We know what the causes are and we know the scale of the impact that humans are having on nature and on wi...
